Khaki is an Austin, Texas native artist known for her vibrant western and fashion-oriented drawings and designs.  Her work exhibits her unique personal style and eclecticism.

Khaki's vibrant artworks merge the spirit of the West with sophisticated elements from across the globe.  She grew up taking art classes at The Contemporary at Laguna Gloria in Austin, Texas, where she honed her skills in still life and live figure drawing.  For her undergraduate studies, she attended Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas where she earned her bachelor's degree in Fashion Merchandising and Business.  She went on to attend the University of Kentucky Rosenberg College of Law in Lexington, Kentucky, where she earned her Juris Doctorate.  

 

While in college, she fell in love with Early Italian Renaissance art history and enjoyed an array of studio art classes, especially screen printing and printmaking.  She loves the power of language, especially Spanish and French, with both cultures being a major source of inspiration for her artistic creations.

Her work has been aptly described as "a cowboy who got lost in Saint-Tropez or Ibiza" - bringing together a melting pot of inspiration which spans western cowboy culture, runway fashion, European ethos, and the timelessness of art history.  Whether she is capturing the glamour of a fashion week look or the quiet strength of a horse in Texas, Khaki's work emulates her true passions.
